Brita™ Water Pitcher Filter Review

In this review, we will compare the Brita filter to the two Epic Water Filter pitcher filters based on available data. You will be happy to know that each Epic Water Filter lasts for 150 gallons per filter. Sadly, you will be switching your Brita filter about every other month since their filters only last about 40 gallons. According to Brita's website "Our replacement filters reduce many of the undesired extras that come out of your tap. Our redesigned filters no longer require pre-soak, and won't leave black flecks in your water. Replace every 40 gallons or every two months for best results."

Also, you might wonder what does the Brita standard granular activated carbon filter really remove? According to their testing "Your Brita pitcher and dispenser filter helps reduce the amount of chlorine, copper, cadmium and mercury — all of which may be found in tap water."

And what does Brita think about fluoride? This comes directly from Brita's website "Some municipal tap water contains fluoride. Brita® filters keep a healthy level of fluoride, a water additive that promotes strong teeth."
